- The enzyme from Aspergillus aculeatus is specific for xyloglucan and
does not hydrolyze other cell-wall components.
- The reaction involves endohydrolysis of 1,4-beta-D-glucosidic
linkages in xyloglucan with retention of the beta-configuration of
the glycosyl residues.
