- The enzyme acts in the opposite direction.
- In Ocimum basilicum (sweet basil), Clarkia breweri, and Petunia
hybrida only isoeugenol is formed.
- However in Pimpinella anisum (anise) only anol is formed in vivo,
although the cloned enzyme does produce isoeugenol.
