ID 1.14.14.39 DE isoleucine N-monooxygenase. AN CYP79D3. AN CYP79D4. CA L-isoleucine + 2 O2 + 2 reduced [NADPH--hemoprotein reductase] = (1E,2S)- CA 2-methylbutanal oxime + CO2 + 2 H(+) + 3 H2O + 2 oxidized [NADPH- CA -hemoprotein reductase]. CC -!- This enzyme, found in plants, catalyzes two successive CC N-hydroxylations of L-isoleucine, the committed step in the CC biosynthesis of the cyanogenic glucoside lotaustralin. CC -!- The product of the two hydroxylations, N,N-dihydroxy-L-isoleucine, CC is labile and undergoes dehydration followed by decarboxylation, CC producing the oxime. CC -!- It is still not known whether the decarboxylation is spontaneous or CC catalyzed by the enzyme. CC -!- The enzyme can also accept L-valine, but with a lower activity. cf. CC EC 1.14.14.38. CC -!- Formerly EC 1.14.13.117. DR Q6J541, C79D3_LOTJA; Q6J540, C79D4_LOTJA; //
