A new class EC 7, Translocases, has been added to the EC list. It will be part of ENZYME from release 2018_10. Read more about EC 7 here.

ENZYME entry: EC 2.1.3.6

Accepted Name
Putrescine carbamoyltransferase.
Reaction catalysed
Carbamoyl phosphate + putrescine <=> phosphate + N-carbamoylputrescine
Comment(s)
The plant enzyme also catalyzes the reactions of EC 2.1.3.3, EC 2.7.2.2 and EC 3.5.3.12, thus acting as putrescine synthase, converting agmatine and ornithine into putrescine and citrulline respectively.
