CC   -!- The enzyme catalyzes two reactions; the first is the transfer of a

CC       linkage, forming gamma-glutamyl-D-glutamate, and the second is the
CC       transfer of additional glutamyl residues to the peptide, extending
CC       the polypeptide chain.
