ID 3.2.1.88 DE non-reducing end beta-L-arabinopyranosidase. AN beta-L-arabinosidase. AN beta-L-arabinoside arabinohydrolase. AN vicianosidase. CA Removal of a terminal beta-L-arabinopyranose residue from the non- CA reducing end of its substrate. CC -!- The enzyme, which was characterized from dormant seeds of the plant CC Cajanus cajan (pigeon pea), has been shown to remove the terminal CC non-reducing beta-L-arabinopyranoside residue from the artificial CC substrate p-nitrophenyl-beta-L-arabinopyranose. CC -!- In the presence of methanol the enzyme demonstrates transglycosylase CC activity, transferring the arabinose moiety to methanol while CC retaining the anomeric configuration, generating 1-O-methyl-beta-L- CC arabinopyranose. //
