  • The 1-proR hydrogen atom of geranylgeranyl diphosphate is lost in the reaction.
  • The enzyme also produces hydropyrenol, isoelisabethatriene and traces of other diterpenoids. cf. EC 4.2.3.202 and EC 4.2.3.203.
