CC       diterpenoid phytoalexins that are produced in response to attack (by
CC       a pathogen, elicitor or UV irradiation) and are involved in the
CC       defense mechanism of the plant.
CC   -!- Momilactone B can also act as an allochemical, being constitutively
CC       produced in the root of the plant and secreted to the rhizosphere
CC       where it suppresses the growth of neighboring plants and soil
CC       microorganisms.
