CA   O-carbamoyl-L-serine + H2O + H(+) = pyruvate + 2 NH4(+) + CO2.
CC   -!- The enzyme cleaves a carbon-oxygen bond, releasing CO2, ammonia,
CC       and an unstable enamine product that tautomerizes to an imine form,
CC       which undergoes a hydrolytic deamination to form pyruvate and a
CC       second ammonia molecule.
CC   -!- The latter reaction, which can occur spontaneously, can also be
CC       catalyzed by EC 3.5.99.10.
