ENZYME entry: EC 2.7.4.33

Accepted Name
AMP-polyphosphate phosphotransferase.
Alternative Name(s)
PPK2D.
Reaction catalysed
ADP + (phosphate)(n) <=> AMP + (phosphate)(n+1)
Comment(s)
  • The enzyme, characterized from the bacteria Acinetobacter johnsonii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, transfers a phosphate group from polyphosphates to nucleotide monophosphates.
